Noojee Receptionist Release Notes

Version 3.0.2

  • Fixed a bug with the registration/activation process
  • Fixed problem with not being able to send DTMF from receptionist handset.

Version 3.0

  • Added Asterisk 1.6 support

  • fix for originate bug
  • fix for npe in channel variable setter
  • fix for handling of zombie channels

Note: we do NOT recommend that you use a Polycom handset as they have a bug in their current firmware (as of Dec 2009). If a first call is answered and then hung up and then a second call is answered immediately afterward, the Polycom will put the second call on hold. We will release an update shortly which forces a delay to stop the Polycom from mis-behaving. Our favourite phone for reception is the Yealink T28.

Version 1.01

Version 1.01 was released due to customer feed back with respect to optimizing the handling of calls.
The primary changes is that it is now possible to directly enter an extension number when dialing.

The following call handling changes have bee made.
--> Line rings        Hit numeric enter to answer
--> Key extension number on numeric key pad
--> Press Extension Search (numeric Key pad - see legend)
--> use up/down arrow to select between SIP/Landline/Mobile etc.
--> Press Transfer/Dial (numeric Key pad - see legend)

Added ability to display the Direct In Dial number or an associated company or service name.
This is useful when a receptionist handles calls for multiple companies or services and wants to answer the call with a different greeting based on the called number.

The DID info display requires a variable to be set on each channel in the dial plan (called DID). If the DID database isn't configured it'll just display the variable value, alternately it'll display the name associated with the number found in the DID database table.
